Financial assistance is available in two ways:
Using the sliding scale fee: We offer a sliding scale fee for almost all our offerings (e.g., between $50 and $90 for our Days of Mindfulness). Those choosing to pay on the low end of the scale automatically receive some scholarship funds, while those paying on the high end of the scale automatically contribute some scholarship funds. You do not have to apply for a scholarship when choosing a registration option toward the low end of the scale.
Larger scholarships: For some of our classes, retreats, and trainings we offer a limited number of larger scholarships for those in greater financial need. Instead of going through an application process, participants simply sign themselves up for this type of scholarship online during registration, choosing one of the Scholarship Tuition rates.
Please note: Due to the limited number of these scholarships available per class/retreat, etc., they are only offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
If there is space in an event (and scholarship funds available), waitlisted scholarship registrations may be added just before the event starts based on the order in which people registered. You will be notified by email if you are added and will have 24 hours to complete registration.
We encourage alumni of our programs to keep their practice fresh by joining us for Days of Mindfulness and longer retreats. To this end:
We hope that alumni who can afford to will continue to select registration options higher on the sliding scale fee to help Mindfulness Northwest continue to make reduced-fee options available to those in most need.
Please don't hesitate to get in touch. Our Contact Page will tell you how to do that.
